Longview STARS runs a no-cut program.  Every member will have the opportunity to participate on a level that is suitable to his or her needs.  Although cheerleading and tumbling experience is beneficial, it is not required for team placement. 

Longview STARS is in the process of becoming a member of the USASF - the governing body for all-star cheerleading.  This group determines the levels and divisions at which our teams will compete, and where a child may be placed according to age.  This group also governs our safety and training regulations.  All Longview STARS coaches have been trained by the program director, who is certified with credentials from this organization.

Longview STARS puts safety in the highest regard, and will always put safety first at competitions, practices, and performances.  Thank you for your support in this area!

USASF team levels range from 1 to 5, with 5 being the most difficult. 

STARS team categories for the 2008-2009 season may consist of:
    ** Tiny (age 5 & under)
    ** Minis (age 8 & under)
    ** Youth (age 11 & under)
    ** Junior (age 14 & under)
    ** Senior (age 18 & under)

The age of the competitor as of May 31, 2008 will be the age used for compeition purposes throughout the 2008-2009 season for all age divisions.
